BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION & RESTRUCTURING SERVICES
In the lifecycle of most businesses, companies can become distressed. In some cases, this is due to a lack of resources, while in other cases it can be due to uncontrolled growth that often goes hand-in-hand with declining customer service levels and unstable financial performance.
Restructuring is when a company makes significant changes to its financial or operational structure, typically while under financial duress. Companies may also restructure when preparing for a sale, buyout, merger, change in overall goals, or transfer of ownership. Following a restructuring, the company should be left with smoother, more economically sound business operations.
The key to managing change in a business is that the person or people responsible for the transformation must be fully immersed. Change management does not happen on a whiteboard. Transforming a business cannot happen in a conference room. Participants must have the time, motivation, and breadth of skill to deliver sustainable improvement from within the organization for the length of the project.

Additionally, the leadership tasked with making change must themselves have operated a company, which itself must have become distressed at one time or another. Management consultants who have never been held accountable for a profit and loss statement and the direct welfare of employees do not have the battle scars required to see a client to a successful transformation endgame. The restructuring team at Bravura is not made up of recent MBA graduates. We are business executives and past operators that have had to report into banks, boards and owners, seen to a successful integration of an acquisition, been responsible for selling or divesting an asset, and have experience in all aspects of caretaking an organization through change.
